Nintendo has recently released a quite lengthy list of games that are set to come out in early 2010 for the Wii, DSi, and both systems’ downloadable services, as well as some new color choices for the Wii’s controller.
Highlighted in the lineup are Endless Ocean: Blue World (Wii – Feb. 22) that supports Wii Speak, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars (Wii – Jan. 26) that features online play, and Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver (DSi – Mar. 14). Other games include Warioware D.I.Y (DSi – Mar. 28) that allows users to create microgames of their own using their DS and Glory of Heracles (DSi – Jan. 18) which is an RPG with a Greek background written by Final Fantasy writer Kazushige Nojima.
In addition to new games, Nintendo also announced that the Wii will be getting some color to liven up the current black and white offerings. Blue and Pink remotes will be available on Feb. 14th packed with a Wii MotionPlus, but no word on matching nunchuks. Pick up both for each of your future children to cover your bases.
While the list does state that it is a partial one, the omission of Sin and Punishment 2 raises some concern. Nintendo of America is likely trying to avoid the rush of huge titles coming out in early 2010, but the original Sin and Punishment not being available in US until the virtual console version was released is some looming foreshadowing. At least it will be available for download in 2017 if it doesn’t come out this console generation.
