In a short release sent out today, ZeniMax Media announced that it has picked up the publishing rights for id Software’s upcoming post-apocalyptic desert fare Rage. The previously announced publisher for the title was EA, though with ZeniMax acquiring id earlier in the year, we can’t exactly act shocked.
The summer acquisition was said to have no effect on deals currently in place so we’re not sure what changed, but EA will no longer be involved in the sales nor marketing of the title. Instead, Rage will be published by Zenimax-owned Bethesda.
Development of the game itself is said to be unaffected.
