If there was any doubt, the Japanese love Final Fantasy; After just one day on the market, approximately every one in four PS3s in Japan now has a copy of Square Enix’s latest, Final Fantasy XIII, sitting next to it. In a statement put out today, Square has announced that in the game’s first 24 hours on the shelves, its sales have “exceeded one million.” The actual sales are a little bit higher though, as it’s noted that sales of the Lightning Edition PS3 bundle are not included in that number.
