Devolver Digital, who set out to bring us Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter, which they call “a grab you by the jibblies run and gun, twitch FPS: BIG guns, TONS of enemies, 4-Player Online Co-Op and stunningly superfluous HD graphics,” did just that. Now, they’re set on bringing us Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter which should be available to us early 2010. But what ever happened with Serious Sam 3?

When in contact with Roman Ribaric, head honcho of Serious Sam developer Croteam, Destructoid was told that ”Serious Sam 3 is happening for sure. It is currently planned to be finished in 2010.”

Adrenaline-packed, monster-busting new adventures for Sam to come next year then. Who’s up for it?
