“We wouldn’t have done” MW2’s airport scene, Army of Two producer says

Warning: If you’re one of the 5 people out there still stranded on a deserted island, be forewarned that this post spoils important plot points of Modern Warfare 2‘s story.

If the scene in Modern Warfare 2 which saw your character mowing down hordes of innocent civilians at a crowded airport left you a little unsettled, you aren’t alone. In speaking with CVG, EA employee and Army of Two: 40th Day producer Matt Turner said they would not have done such a disturbing scene, “You’re playing a CIA agent, it’s designed to show the atrocities… it’s pretty awful and if you fail to see that side of it than you’re not getting the whole picture. That being said, I thought it took it a little far; it was pretty out there. But I like seeing that they have guts like that.”

Thus, while Turner does seem to respect Infinity Ward’s inclusion of the content, he remains steadfast in his claim that they would not venture into such territory. “We wouldn’t have done it, we didn’t do it.”
