EA shutting down servers for older games

Attention, sports fans. EA has announced that it will be shutting down servers for quite a few of its sports games early next month. The online features of a total of twenty two games across several platforms (details below) are being shut down with the company giving players until February 2nd to tie up any loose ends before it’ll pull the plug. After that, it’s time to invest in newer games it seems, “All of us at EA would like to thank you for your valued participation in our online gaming community and hope that your enthusiasm for these games extends to our current lineup and beyond.”
