Modern Warfare 2 inspires Kojima to return to PS3
BY Lee Bradley Jan. 4th, 2010 More on:

Inspired by Modern Warfare 2, Hideo Kojima is keen to get back developing for the PlayStation 3.

The legendary creator of the Metal Gear Solid franchise has taken time off from developing for the PS3 of late. While Kojima Productions are working on the multiplatform Metal Gear Solid: Rising, the man himself has been devoting time to developing Peace Walker for the PlayStation Portable. However, speaking in January’s PlayStation Magazine (via Connected Consoles), Kojima outlined just how eager he is to return to developing for the more powerful system, “After seeing Modern Warfare 2, I feel like I want to use all the modern specs!”

He also revealed the reasoning behind his switch to PSP development, saying, “In Japan especially, the most popular hardware with this audience was the PSP.”

Just no 9-hour movies this time, please, Mr. Kojima.
