Due to the game’s episodic nature, speculation and questions about possible post-release content for Remedy’s upcoming Alan Wake being released have made the rounds before. But now it’s been confirmed.
Speaking at their CES keynote address, President of Microsoft’s Entertainment & Devices Division Robbie Bach said that more “episodes” are indeed on the way after the game launches, “Story-driven like a TV series, Alan Wake will be told in episodes, with even more episodes available on Xbox Live after its launch this year.”
While there’s still no exact release date for the game, it is expected to arrive this Spring. Possibly in May.
Bach also made a brief mention of Modern Warfare 2‘s downloadable content, reiterating what was first announced at last year’s E3 — the first DLC will be a timed exclusive to Microsoft’s platform. Again, no release dates were given.
