It appears the release of Activision’s time-twisting first-person shooter Singularity may have been pushed back once more. GameStop’s website has changed the game’s release to June 2010, which is outside the Q1 2010 release Activision set for the title when first delaying it last June.
The reason given for the original delay was so the new game wouldn’t go up against Modern Warfare 2. Activision felt “the March quarter will provide a better opportunity to establish the new cutting-edge action IP as a ‘must-have’ title.”
Since announcing the delay, Activision hasn’t talked about this Raven-developed title at all (except that it’s getting a comic). Until now, “Activision does not comment on rumor and/or speculation. We have not announced a launch date for Singularity.”
