Everything old is new again in Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands

Ubisoft has released the first in-game screenshots for their upcoming non-sequel to 2008’s Prince of Persia reboot, and it looks like they’re serious about picking up where the Sands of Time trilogy left off.

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands will bridge the seven-year gap between the original Sands of Time and its less than stellar sequel, Warrior Within. And judging by these screens, it will also lose the flowing silk scarves, moose spiked hair and chest barring vest for a look that’s a bit butcher than the one sported in his majesty’s polarizing high-def debut, though not entirely lacking that spark of metrosexual magic. It takes a real man to pull off a sash, a fact our newly understated Prince is happy to demonstrate for his hordes of skeletal admirers.
