Netflix headed to Wii this spring
BY Rain Anderson Jan. 13th, 2010 More on:

Netflix making its movie rental service available to the home console with the largest install base is rumor no more. According to NY Times, the Wii is soon catching up to the already Netflix-equipped Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 by getting the functionality added sometime this spring; a move that’s “a continuation of an effort to bring more and more entertainment to consumers who interact with the Wii,” Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime says.

Like the initial disc-based Netflix on the PS3, Wii owners will need a disc to make use of the service.
