“A bit more polish” the reason for Conviction’s delay

The Splinter Cell: Conviction delay we learned about yesterday occurred because the game was in need of “a bit more polish,” Ubisoft tells Eurogamer, and not because of the unusually cramped early-year release schedule. “The game looks brilliant, but we want it to be awesome,” a company spokesperson said.

The need for additional polishing time was the reason given for the previous delay from the company’s third fiscal quarter of 2009 to February this year, as well. The game is currently set for release some time in April.
