DJ Hero 2009’s biggest new IP by revenue

According to data from the NPD Group, DJ Hero was the highest grossing new intellectual property of 2009 in the US, Activision has announced. Which means it probably sold less copies than let’s say Borderlands, which in November declared itself the fastest-selling original IP of the year, but its $120 price point still brought in the most revenue. And clearly, that’s enough to “make a commitment” to the franchise.
