Here’s what you get in the Final Fantasy XIII collector’s edition

Square Enix has officially announced that Final Fantasy XIII will be joining the exclusive ‘won’t quite fit on your shelf’ club, all courtesy of receiving the collector’s edition (above, bigger image here) treatment when the game hits PAL shores in March.

Alongside the exclusive ‘branded presentation box’ you’ll also receive The Final Fantasy XIII original sound selection, a CD featuring choice tracks from the game’s soundtrack, all packaged in a snazzy slipcase. A hardback book containing art from the game entitled The World of Final Fantasy XIII, three exclusive art prints, featuring artwork of the Eidolons (Final Fantasy XIII‘s version of summons except they’re controllable vehicles, as you do) are also in there. And lastly a ‘Brand of the l’Cie’ decal, apparently the most iconic symbol from the game’s storyline. If it’s as iconic as they imply, I can only imagine how many times it’ll be tattooed onto people bound for regret the world over.

The collector’s edition will be available in all its collectible glory Mar. 9th, alongside the regular non-collector’s edition, for both PS3 and Xbox 360.
