Although DICE and EA are getting ready to launch one of their two Modern Warfare-killers, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, colleagues of ours had another title in mind during their recent visit to Stockholm and DICE HQ. Talking to executive producer Karl-Magnus Trodesson, NowGamer asked about Mirror’s Edge 2, to which Trodesson responded, “I can’t really comment on that because we haven’t officially announced that we’re working on it.” Very professional and not at all a cliché.
“As a studio we’re pretty dedicated to the FPS genre and DICE was pretty much build on the Battlefield franchise, but that doesn’t mean that’s what we going to continue doing in the future. It’s important for us to find other projects and other games that perhaps can turn into IP’s and then later on franchises. Mirror’s Edge was a big test for us and you’re going to start seeing more of these in the near future.”
Despite its awkward scores on Metacritic, Mirror’s Edge was without a doubt one of the freshest new IPs to come out of any development house two years ago, so we do understand EA CEO John Riccitiello when he said the franchise “deserves” a sequel. So, unlike the depiction of Faith above, our dreams for a follow-up to Mirror’s Edge are not shattered.

Hoping this becomes the sucessful franchise it deserves to be. Mirror’s Edge was one of the most exciting and beautiful games to come out in the past few years and I truly need to see some more Faith.

It definitely deserves a new game, minus the shooting. It’s ok to have people shoot at you, but the player herself shouldn’t be a killer imo. Didn’t suit it.
