The Battlefield: Bad Company 2 multiplayer demo availability question has been cleared up; out of nowhere, it’s available as a nice surprise on Xbox Live right now and will follow on PlayStation Network starting next week, on February 4th in Europe and 11th in North America. The PC beta begins today as well with both it and the console demo taking place in Port Valdez (demo trailer above), a vehicle focused map for up to 24 players (32 on PC) running the Rush gamemode.
The demo ends on February 25th though, so get it while you can.
