The Star Wars franchise was the original series to be engulfed by the LEGO games. Since then we’ve seen countless LEGO titles, from Indiana Jones, to Batman, to the upcoming Harry Potter: Years 1-4. We’ve already seen both of George Lucas’ trilogies get the bricked treatment, not to mention a director’s cut version, so the announcement of a third Star Wars title might raise the odd eyebrow.
Well the name, LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars might give you a hint as to where it’s set. The game is based off of the recent Clone Wars cartoon series airing on TV, which takes place between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. That means you can look to Anakin and Obi-Wan to star again, along with the rest of cast of characters both new and old.
Traveller’s Tales have promised new features for the game like an upgraded level editor (first seen in Lego Indiana Jones II: The Adventure Continues), head-to-head multiplayer battles, squad commands, and new attacks.
LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars will hit every console and handheld as well as PC under the moon of Endor this fall.
