During Ubisoft’s fiscal year 2009-10 Q3 conference call today, CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed that they’re planning to release new Assassin’s Creed games frequently. He didn’t commit to the company turning the series into an annual annual franchise “yet,” but did say they’re “going to come very often with that franchise”.
