WoW’s The Burning Crusade cleared for launch in China

World of Warcraft‘s Chinese operator NetEase’s application for a license to operate the MMO’s The Burning Crusade expansion has been approved by The General Adminstration of Press and Publication, clearing the way for Blizzard to launch the initially rejected content to its four million Chinese players. There’s no word yet on how fast the company plans to get the content out there, though with the Chinese player being caught between the country’s regulatory powers for the better part of a year now, we’re guessing quickly.

The Wrath of the Lich King expansion — launched in the west in late 2008 — is yet to see release in China as well and awaits the review of Chinese authorities.
