It appears the motion-sensing DS successor Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said he didn’t talk about recently is indeed real.
A source within The Pokemon Company currently toying with the device has told CVG that a number of developers have received development kits on a trial basis and that what they have is just the first version of what’s to be the final hardware. Yet the source is highly impressed already.
“It’s genuinely the best thing I think I’ve ever worked with,” he’s quoted as saying. “I can tell you that it’s got a ’tilt’ function that’s not dissimilar to iPhone, but does a lot more. We know that The Pokemon Company are getting special attention with it.”
An announcement won’t be forthcoming at the Game Developers Conference next month though, he fears, “Any kind of March announcement wouldn’t fit with the timeline I understand the second DS to be on.” Guess that leaves E3 in June then?
