Fallout New Vegas will be perfect for people with ‘hundreds of hours’ to spare

Got some time set aside at the end of the year? Watched Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome more than twice? Fallout New Vegas could be the game for you then. Staying true to the Fallout name, New Vegas is said to be comparable to the Washington DC wasteland in size and will “take you hundreds of hours to explore every nook and cranny” according to Pete Hines, Bethesda’s VP of Marketing and PR.

Fortunately for those who weren’t too keen on the bountiful supply of rubble and ruins found in Fallout 3; the post-apocalyptic “Vegas is up and running. It is not a ghost town. It still exists and thrives. There are casinos, and you can go down onto the Strip,” elaborates Hines.

To explore this new expanse, the player will assume the role of a non vault dwelling courier “shot and left in a shallow grave in the desert, lifted of the package you were entrusted with delivering.” Never easy being a courier.
