Normally, demos are about 20 minutes long, designed to leave you wanting more. Someone obviously didn’t get the memo at THQ however, as they’re releasing 90 minutes worth of Darksiders content for a demo next week. That covers the entire of the game’s first dungeon, and seeing as I only got through that section 2 days ago, I can tell you that’s more than enough.
David Adams, General Manager of developer Vigil Games stated, “We really wanted to give gamers a true idea of the variety of gameplay that the game offers and so rather than just making a standard 20 minute demo version of the first few levels, we decided to give away this massive level and reveal the true essence of the game.”
I’ve got an easier way for people to discover the “true essence” of Darksiders in 90 minutes, and it won’t take up any hard drive space. Simply go to the shops and buy God of War and Zelda, then play both for 45 minutes each. That saves waiting for it to download!
The giant sized demo hits both Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Store on February 25th.
