“Before we do anything on the PS3 we need to be able to support it in the right way,” said Chet Faliszek, writer of Valve’s zombie-shooting spectacles Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 when speaking with EDGE. Once again, not so reassuring words coming out of Valve as far as PS3 development goes. Valve’s attitude towards the PS3 is well known, as they haven’t kept a lid on their opinions in the past.
However, Faliszek added that they’ll “look at it, and I’m sure down the road we’ll do it,” which is probably the first plausible hint of any Valve games ever hitting the PS3 again. But then again, “until we have the ability to get a PS3 team together, until we find the people who want to come to Valve or who are at Valve who want to work on that, I don’t really see us moving to that platform,” Valve’s spokesman Doug Lombardi told CVG last year.
Will we ever see an end to this arguable debacle? Do we hear any Valve love from PS3 owners out there, or could you care less about this?
