BioShock 2 getting single-, multiplayer DLC

2K has announced its plans for “aggressive” BioShock 2 post-launch content that entails new add-ons for both the single- and multiplayer modes.

“Downloadable content is a key part of our efforts to continue to entice the fans that have made 2K a household name,” 2K president Christoph Hartmann says, “we intend to deliver single and multiplayer content that respects and expands upon one of the greatest fictional worlds ever created.”

First up is the multiplayer-oriented Sinclair Solutions Test Pack — “the first of several planned downloadable packages” — which releases some time next month for 400 Microsoft Points on Live and $4.99/£3.19 on PSN. The pack brings two new playable characters (Louie McGraff and Oscar Calraca), 20 new trials, a third weapon upgrade for each weapon and five additional masks.

Single-player content that will extend the game’s narrative is set to arrive “in the coming months”.
