Visceral Games, the studio behind Dante’s Inferno, are working on downloadable titles for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.
According to general manager Nick Earl, while development on Dead Space 2 (and possibly The Ripper) is understandably taking up much of Visceral’s time, “That’s not to say that we don’t have smaller efforts under way and direct-to-consumer efforts on XBLA and PSN.”
Details are all but non-existent, but Visceral’s interest in the digital marketplace was piqued by successes elsewhere. Earl highlighted the popularity of DICE’s Battlefield 1943, “which was created in a studio even bigger than Visceral.”
“That is showing the opportunity there,” he said, before teasing that Visceral will “have some interesting offerings over this year and next.”
