Developer TopWare Interactive believes they have something rather special on their hands with Two Worlds II, which they’re co-developing with Polish studio Reality Pump; the studio has teased a yet-to-be-revealed multiplayer feature that’s supposedly of “out of this world”-quality.
The critical reception the first game received from most outlets was less than stellar, but managing director James Seaman thinks that this time they’re taking the role-playing genre “a huge leap forward”.
“We have other fun stuff that’s just like, this out of this world sh*t, that makes it more MMO,” he told Videogamer. “It’s just a little different. It’s some unique ways to interact with other players, let’s put it that way.”
The game will be out later this year for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A precise release date hasn’t been announced quite yet.
