Good old ESRB. The ratings board have revealed some details on Sonic 4 and it’s all comfortingly familiar.
“This is a side-scrolling adventure game in which players zoom through themed levels, collect gold rings and jump on tiny robot enemies,” reads the ESRB listing.
“Players earn points for collecting “power-ups” and freeing tiny animals that are trapped in the robots. During boss battles at the end of levels, players may encounter an arch nemesis in a mechanical device that gets charred and emits some flames when damaged.”
No Werehogs, no Knights, no Olympic-themed minigames – just rings, robot enemies and arch nemesis in mechanical devices. Just like God intended.
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will be released episodically on Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360. EpisodeĀ 1 hits this summer.
