Sony’s recently christened PlayStation Move motion controller is a “Wii-too,” Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aime feels.
“Looking at what PlayStation is doing, it feels very ‘Wii-too,’” the executive told the LA Times in a recent interview, adding, “In terms of Microsoft, we’ll see when they actually show off their software.”
Microsoft is expected to show Natal and introduce its launch line-up at E3 in June.
“I think our competitors will be challenged in a number of ways,” Fils-Aime continued, “bringing fun experiences to life, because in the end that’s what the consumer wants.”
Microsoft and Sony “will be challenged on providing the great value we have always provided,” he believes. “Our consumers have a system that they love. Is that consumer suddenly going to stop and go do something else?”
If you hear Fils-Aime tell it, at least in Move’s case the answer is ‘no’.
