The start of PAX East, Penny Arcade’s brand-new gaming expo is only days away. Passes have been completely sold out since last week, and excitement is on the rise for what looks to be the biggest videogames expo the east coast has ever seen. In addition to the huge number of upcoming titles from major studios that will be exhibited on the show floor, PAX organizers have announced that the recent winners of the Boston Indie Showcase will be on display for all to see at the Expo, which begins this Friday.
The lineup includes two of this year’s IGF nominees: Marc Ten Bosch’s 4-dimensional puzzle game, Miegakure and Dejobaan Games’ aptly-named freefall simulator, AaaaaAAaaa: A Reckless Disregard For Gravity. Also included in the showcase are Dearth and Waker, both by members of the Gambit Game Lab at MIT, Slam Bolt Scrappers by Fire Hose Games and Turba, a musical puzzle game by Keith Morgado.
If you’re one of the fortunate thousands heading to Boston this week, make sure to put aside some time to check out of some of these indie gaming big-shots on the show floor.
