After releasing The Darkness and the last year’s Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, developer Starbreeze hasn’t been heard from in quite some time. But, they’ve have been hard at work on two separate projects, one of which has just been canceled.
Last year EA secured exclusive rights to publish games based on books by Robert Ludlum, raising our hopes when we learned that Starbreeze was developing a new Bourne videogame due to this acquisition. The developer has also been linked with Project RedLime, a still undisclosed “incredibly innovative take” on a classic EA franchise.
“We will continue to focus only on a big production [title] together with EA,” said Starbreeze CEO Johan Kristiansson on the recent news. “Our relationship with EA is stronger than ever, and the aim now is to spend more resources on the game that demonstrated the greatest potential. This game is already in full production.”
