The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is headed to consoles.
The sequel to 2007’s much-praised PC RPG was officially confirmed just yesterday, and only for PC. Today, however, developer CD Projekt RED confirmed at their spring conference that the title is in fact on its way to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as well.
There was a console-specific The Witcher previously in development, The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf. Though, after hitting a road block last April, it was canceled the following month due to fears of missing the target release date and not reaching internal quality expectations.
Assassins of Kings will be out early next year.
