Kane & Lynch: Dead Men didn’t get the warmest reception. The somewhat shoddy shooting mechanics and overall unfinished feel scored it mostly average or negative reviews; something developer IO Interactive is hopeful will not be the case with Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days.
“I expect reviews [of the sequel] to be a lot better,” game director Karsten Lund says. “I hope it’s going to be better, at least. That’s what we strive for, right? To really give people that experience they should have had with the first game.”
“I think the first game did a lot of things right,” he added. “We’re trying to enhance those as well. So I do expect higher scores.”
The game’s out this August on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
