Conviction’s PC delay has to do with quality, not DRM

The recent two week delay of Splinter Cell: Conviction‘s PC version is not related to Ubisoft’s controversial digital rights management methods as some may have suspected; the actual reason, according to a company spokesperson, is much less sinister.

“The reason that has been given for the delay is that the extra time was need to polish and debug the game,” Eurogamer was told by the rep. “The slip has not been linked to the DRM.”

The PC version is out on April 27 in North America and April 30 in the UK. The Xbox 360 dates remain unchanged.
