Reliance Big Entertainment, a part of India’s Reliance ADA group, has acquired a 50 percent stake in UK-based developer/publisher Codemasters, the companies announced today — an investment to be overseen by Reliance’s gaming division Zapak.
The “immense resources” Reliance and Zapak bring to the table will help Codemasters “realize the full potential of our game coding and online excellence across so many platforms,” CEO Rod Cousens says, “and especially in the world’s fastest growing markets.”
“The future of Codemasters has never looked brighter,” he adds. “It’s a whole new game!”
The company is currently knee deep in getting F1 2010 ready for its fall 2010 release.
