Being an old fogy, my memory of a Top Gun videogame involves the NES and a flat, gray cartridge. Paramount Digital Entertainment and Freeverse are quite happy to remind just how far we’ve come since then by announcing the Top Gun App for iPad today.
The iPad version of this existing iPhone and iPod touch app is going to feature a redesigned user interface, high res graphics, and new gameplay. Players will also get an afterburner for their combat aircraft to help avoid “Danger Zone” encounters.
Remember when Afterburner in the arcade used to be impressive? Oh, right. Sorry, old man reminiscing again.
