Infinity Ward loses more staff

It appears as though the morale boost offered by the Stimulus Package just wasn’t quite enough; the good ship Infinity Ward has reportedly lost yet more of its crew, namely lead designer Todd Alderman and lead software engineer Francesco Gigliotti. The pair’s LinkedIn profiles reveal that their time with the Modern Warfare developer has come to an end after roughly 8 years of service.

Alderman’s profile notes that, prior to his departure, he was a key player in developing Call of Duty‘s unfathomably popular multiplayer component — which only serves to exacerbate the air of uncertainty surrounding the franchise’s future, especially if Infinity Ward’s next project is in fact a Call of Duty MMO, as previously rumored.

As of yet no official statement has been made by Activision or Infinity Ward regarding Alderman and Gigliotti’s departure.
