Activision ‘not surprised’ by Respawn/EA partnering

Today’s announcement of fired Infinity Ward heads forming a new studio and partnering with the company’s main rival EA comes as “no surprise” to Activision, the company has said.

“This agreement comes as no surprise to Activision given the myriad of improper activities detailed in the cross-complaint filed on Friday against Jason West and Vince Zampella,” Activision said in a statement released today, referring to Friday’s news. “We look forward to continuing to work with Infinity Ward’s deep bench of proven talent on exciting new projects,” one of which, as said by Activision themselves, is Modern Warfare 3.
