BioShock creator Ken Levine’s new project at Irrational does not appear to be the hoped-for remake of space strategy title X-Com.
In a fresh business piece, Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick told the LA Times that Levine was “freed” from working on BioShock 2 so he could go off and create “an original title that could become another franchise” for the publishing house.
That rules out a new SWAT too, then.
Details on the mystery project, set to be revealed this year, are scarce. Past job listings have suggested that the game is of the shooter variety though, while Levine himself has called it an undertaking “substantially more ambitious than BioShock“.
