Those who skipped both Crysis and Crysis Warhead need not fear being left in the dark by sci-fi author Richard Morgan’s story in the upcoming Crysis 2. The sequel is being treated as “a kind of a resetting of the franchise,” Crytek president Cevat Yerli says, meaning playing the PC games aren’t essential to understand what’s going on in Crytek’s NYC.
“No worries,” he says, “it will still be awesome for you.”
There will however be perks for those who completed the previous games. “..those that did play it will have some rewards.”
