Sony has axed its PSP-based social networking service, Room.
Announced and revealed last September at the Tokyo Game Show, the PlayStation Home-like service was supposed to arrive on the handheld this winter but, following the ending of a Japan-only beta, Sony’s announced that the service is no more.
It’s not a complete loss though. The information and opinions gathered from the beta will be put into good use in future community services, Sony says.
