Nintendo DSi XL sells 141k in four days

Although the DSi XL, Nintendo’s upsized portable gaming console, didn’t hit US shelves until the end of March, it was able to shift an impressive 141k units. We say impressive because the system is only $10 less than the Wii and has a main selling point of a larger screen.

The sales rate even goes against analyst Michael Pachter’s prediction that the price of the system “is not going to sit well with consumers.”

The Nintendo handheld family – the DS Lite, DSi, and DSi XL – combined to sell 700,800 units last month, begging the question: Who hasn’t got one yet?
