Frontier Developments’ high-tech thriller The Outsider is still very much in the works, studio founder and boss David Braben has assured.
The title, first announced back in 2005, sees a CIA agent (the player) falsely accused and framed as a traitor. How the player chooses to go about clearing his name is where past promises of “genuine freedom” likely come into play.
The game’s been running silent for a number of years now but, Braben tells Eurogamer, it’s still being worked on: “It’s very exciting and we’re still working hard on it. I’m not talking about it yet but watch this space.”
In the meanwhile, Frontier has announced and released WiiWare titles LostWinds and LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias. The studio’s also tinkering away on Elite IV, which it would be “mad” not to work on.
