Ubisoft pushes R.U.S.E. to September

It seems that lately, when a game developer launches a beta version of their game, it is more for publicity and advertising purposes; apparently Ubisoft and developer Eugen Systems never got that memo.

After reviewing feedback from the public beta for R.U.S.E., they’ve decided to push the release of the stealth-based WWII RTS to September.

“While we understand how disappointing this news will be for many,” said a R.U.S.E. team member via Facebook, “rest assured that this is the best decision for R.U.S.E. and that this extra time will allow us to implement many of your suggestions and improve the multiplayer experience while polishing the overall game.”

A few of the issues that caused the game’s delay reside with the unit selection, behavior, and pathfinding as well as unit order assignment and strategic AI behavior. Ubisoft is also taking this extra time to focus their efforts on the multiplayer menus, improving the anti-lag policy and kick system, and tweaking the overall balance of the game.
