Update: It’s up on Live now. Disney’s also shot out a press release saying the Xbox exclusivity lasts until May 11 — after that, it’ll be available on PlayStation Network as well. No word on a PC demo though.
Original story: There’s a Split/Second demo exploding exclusively onto Xbox Live this week.
According to game director Nick Baynes, you’ll be able to sample a chunk of the airport level at some point this week. At some point. We’re not sure when.
Baynes revealed the news in the latest Major Nelson podcast. “There’s a demo exclusively out on Xbox, which is out this week I believe, so everyone will be able to play the airport track very, very soon on Xbox 360,” he said.
We’ve had a taste of the explosive racer on a couple of occasions and it looks damn good. The May 18 North American and May 21 European releases on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 can’t come soon enough.
