UK charts: Splinter Cell stays at the top

Sam Fisher’s latest outing is showing signs of, if you’ll excuse the pun, conviction; the currently Xbox 360 exclusive Splinter Cell: Conviction has conquered the UK’s all format sales charts for the second week in a row, topping a top three that remains unchanged from the week prior: Just Dance at number two, GTA Episodes from Liberty City (PS3/PC) at number three.

The big newcomer of the week is Capcom’s Monster Hunter Tri which has made its debut at number five, “the most successful version of this franchise so far in terms of launch sales / position on the All Formats Chart,” according to data collector GFK Chart-Track.

And, perhaps as a sign of Microsoft’s Stephen McGill’s recent predictions coming true, Halo 3: ODST has re-entered the chart at number 34.
