Finnish Alan Wake developer Remedy is putting their masterpiece‘s proprietary game engine and the approach to building the world of Bright Falls on display in a new developer video.
Creating the engine was “a massive technological undertaking that fully optimizes the power of the Xbox 360,” they say. The same will go for the PC version too I bet once the time to release it arrives, as it would be “unreasonable” not to do so, as story writer Sam Lake put it recently.
For now though, there are plenty of impressive in-game scenes and scenery from the 360 version to look at in the video above.
The game’s out in a few weeks; May 14 in Europe and the 19th in North America.
