Despite some launch day woes, the first day of the Halo: Reach beta saw over one million players stop by, the place for all things Halo, Halo Waypoint informs via Twitter.
“Wow, over one million unique users logged into the #Reach beta servers yesterday,” they tweet. “Were you one of ’em?”
The huge demand caused the beta backend to ‘blow up‘ yesterday, resulting in slow matchmaking times and inaccessible playlists. Bungie’s since updated that things are not fully operational yet and that “suboptimal performance” should still be expected, “but it should be moving at a pretty good clip now”.
The developer has previously said that it expects a total of three million players to try out the beta.
