Sony’s official announcement of LittleBigPlanet 2 has cleared up the inclusion of PlayStation Move functionality; turns out the previously stated lack of Move support at launch isn’t quite accurate.
The game won’t be fully playable with the motion controller at launch, however some “bonus levels” will.
“It will also include bonus levels that will support the PlayStation Move navigation controller,” says the full blurb in the press release.
IGN tried to dig a little deeper, and got the following response from SCEA PR Manager Eric Levine: “LittleBigPlanet 2 will include bonus PlayStation Move support on day one, similar to the demonstrations you may have seen at TGS 2009 and GDC 2010. But, LittleBigPlanet 2 isn’t a Move-exclusive title, and Move support is just one part of a much bigger package, as you can see with some of the features that have been revealed today.”
So, limited Move support for now it is. Chances are a title update via PSN will do the trick in the future though, like it will be the case with the original.
