As announced earlier, Steam for Mac will launch tomorrow, on May 12. But Valve has now also announced a few additional details.
Leading the charge on the games front is Runic Games’ praised Torchlight RPG and Valve’s own Portal, which will also be the first Steam Play title available for Mac. Steam Play allows those who buy a game on one system to play it on all platforms where Steam is available (this is retroactive, so those who’ve previously bought a Play title will now find it playable on Mac as well).
New games will get added to the service via weekly updates, every Wednesday, “each designed to highlight specific functionalities of Steam on the Mac”.
