Ubisoft makes Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood formal, five studios developing

Following yesterday’s tease, Ubisoft has today formally declared that Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood is in development for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and that it’s coming ‘holiday 2010’.

Quite a few Ubisoft studios are involved in this multiplayer-equipped iteration too; the company’s Singapore, Bucharest, Québec City and Annecy studios are all under Ubisoft Montreal’s command with this one.

As already confirmed by Ubisoft executives, the single-player campaign will see Ezio, now a Master Assassin in control of an entire Brotherhood, return to Rome to struggle against the Templar Order. The “multiplayer layer” on the other hand puts players in the shoes of the other guys, the Templars. A variety of characters, each with their own signature weaponry, along with “different” yet unspecified multiplayer modes will be available.

Two images game with the announcement as well; a single screenshot and a piece of art.
